a Divine-Occasion Cakes

Wedding cakes are a tradition we love to talk about and taste! Choosing the right baker and wedding cake is as important as choosing the right dress and cake design is just as much an art as fashion design. We've worked with some of the best wedding cake designers and bakers out there and have some stunning photos to share with you from some of our a Divine-Occasion weddings.

When it's time to choose the right cake for your wedding, you can start by perusing magazines and blogs to collect photos of beautiful cakes you love. Your wedding cake should reflect your personal style and of course, go with the overall look of your ceremony and reception. Once you've decided on a cake style, it's time to start visiting bakeries to see their portfolios and do some taste testing! We hope these a Divine-Occasion wedding cakes inspire you to find your perfect cake!

Crystal Romance

This beautiful a Divine-Occasion wedding has inspired us to create a collection of designer goodies in shades of white, cream, crystal, gold and bronze. We incorporated candles and fabric to create a dreamy, romantic atmosphere for this wedding and reception and we softened the look with pearls and lace. Enjoy!

Karynn and Zack's Turnip Rose Wedding

Karynn and Zack met at SDSU when she was a freshman and he was a sophomore. They were both on campus a few weeks before school started because they were both athletes. Karynn played soccer and Zack, football. They met between practices as Karynn was playing pool with a football player...and winning! Zack was impressed and introduced himself after the game. They became friends, but went separate ways after graduation.

Then, 10 years later, they reconnected at a mutual friend's birthday party and began dating. Zack's proposal happened on their usual date night. He told Karynn that he was taking her out to dinner down the street at a nice little Italian restaurant. As they walked there, Zack's friends filled Karynn's house with roses, rose petals, candles and most importantly, an engagement ring! Zack realized he "forgot" his wallet in his car and told Karynn they had to turn around and go back to get it. Karynn was surprised to see the house decorated and Zack get down on one knee to ask her to be his wife.

Karynn wanted her wedding to have a modern and elegant feel and it was very important to the couple that all their guests had a great time. As soon as Karynn saw Celebrations by Turnip Rose, she knew it was the perfect venue for her wedding. It was the first place she saw and the venue was perfect for her style: contemporary with a beautiful layout and an amazing dance floor! The service was top-notch and Karynn received several compliments from her guests about the venue.

The decor was beautifully modern in a color palette of purples and gold. The tables were decorated with glass vases containing water, flowers and floating votive candles and the dance floor was lit up in a soft purple. Karynn and Zack's guests had so much fun and danced all night long!
